Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide the optimum amount of chemical feed to raw water by properly adapting for varied raw water quality, a manually variable, calculation coefficient setting means is provided in a calculation circuit giving from raw water quality to the desirable chemical feed ratio. CONSTITUTION:Raw water is taken from the inlet 2 of river 1 and passed through the couduit 3 to the flow meter 4. The flow meter 4 transmits a water flow signal 5 to the chemical feed amount multiplier 17. Raw water is also sent to the water quality measurement 6 from which water quality signal is sent to the calculator 11 for chemical feed ratio. The calculator 11 sends out signal for chemical feed ratio 15 to the multiplier 17. The multiplier 17 sends feed signal 19 representing the proper amount of chemical to be fed. The feed signal 19 is received by the chemical feeder 22. The chemical feeder 22, according to the signal 19, supplies optimum chemical quantity from the chemical reservoir 21 to the injection point 10. The manual variable setter 12 is connected to the chemical feed rate calculator 11, enabling manual operation for the calculator 11, variably setting the optimum chemical feed quantity.
