Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the pressure in a metal die uniform when rubber is injected under pressure and to obtain a product with partition plates undeformed, by providing perforated holes through the central parts of the partition plates located between side plates on both the sides of a rubber piece. CONSTITUTION:A multistage anti-vibration rubber 8 comprises iron side plates 12, 13 at both the ends of a rubber piece 11 and iron partition plates 9 which are located between both the side plates 12, 13 and divides the rubber piece 11. In manufacturing the anti-vibration rubber 8, perforated holes 10 are previously provided through the central parts of the partition plates 9. The side plates 12, 13 and the partition plates 9 are set in parallel with one another in a metal die so that the partition plates are located between the side plates. The rubber 11 is filled in the openings between the plates in the die and vulcanized to obtain the anti-vibration rubber. Even if a pressure diffrence takes place between the openings between the plates in the metal die in injecting the rubber under pressure, the rubber flows to lower-pressure regions through the perforated holes 10 of the partition plates 9. Therefore, the pressure in the die is made uniform. This results in preventing the partition plates from being deformed.
