Abstract

PURPOSE: The captioned monitor apparatus which is constituted to inspect welding of studs from the weld time, peak value and current rise rate of welding current so that welding defects of studs may be checked simultaneously with welding work.
CONSTITUTION: The gate current IG detected in an input circuit 1 and the welding current Iw from a welding condenser are attenuated in an attenuator 2 and are supplied, on the one hand, to a time measuring circuit. Namely, these currents are waveform-shaped in a waveform shaping circuit 3, are amplified 4 and are supplied to a digital display device 5. In this way, the time from the generation of the current IG up to the detection of the current rise rate ΔI/ΔT at the arc quenching is measured, stored and displayed. On the other hand, the output current from the attenuator 2 is supplied via amplifier circuit 6 to a peak value holding circuit 7 to detect the peak value Ip of the current Iw, which is then displayed in a digital display device 8. This is reset by re-inputting the previously measured and stored data by the current IG.
