Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable efficient heat exchange of a heat exchanger used for a natural circulation type bath furnace by flowing combustion gas in zigzag manner among hollow plates without interfering with each other.
CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger is composed by providing space 7 between a hollow plate 1 having hot water outlet and inlet 2, 3 and a hollow plate 6 formed with a hot water conduit 4 at one side wall surfaces and disposing hollow plates 5 of the number regulated according its capacity, and joining the respective conduits 4. A plurality of projected ribs 8 are provided along burner heating direction in length L on the respective plates 1, 5 and 6 and in burner heating lateral direction H to thereby increase the heat transmitting area of the plates. Then, the ribs 8 are arranged in zigzag manner to pass the combustion gas through the space 7 in zigzag manner to thereby enable efficient heat exchange of the heat exchanger.
