Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the steady operation of the oscillator to the temperature change as well as to realize a quick tracking action by giving an occasional comparison and correction to the initial set frequency of the voltage control oscillator based on the reference frequency. CONSTITUTION:For comparison and correction, switch 3 is switched to supply the output of reference frequency oscillator 2 to mixer circuit 4 in place of the reception signals supplied to terminal 1. And the output of oscillator 2 is mixed with the output of voltage control oscillator 10, and the beat output is applied to frequency discrimination circuit 5. The DC voltage output is compared with reference voltage VR at voltage comparator 12, and the value is memorized in memory circuit 16 for the calibration signals given from calibration signal generation circuit 17 when the comparison output is produced. After this, the normal tracking action is given. Thus the contents of circuit 16 is converted into the analog voltage through D-A converter 19 and then added with the output given from circuit 5 via adder circuit 8 which is inserted to the input side of DC amplifier 9. As a result, the fluctuation of the initial set frequency can be corrected for oscillator 10.
