Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible simultaneous mounting of a buffer plate in the blow molding of a plastic tank by fixing a buffer plate insert thereinto while molding plastic tank. CONSTITUTION:A parison extruded from the parison die of a blow molding machine is inserted into a mold 1 of the blow molding with a buffer plate 5 and an air inlet 2 previously molded as lowered between the separated mold 1 and 1. After clamping the mold, as air is blown, the parison is swelled in a shape of the mold 1 to form a plastic tank containing the buffer plate fixed at the pinch-off section 7. At this point, if a buffer plate having a small projection 8 is used and the projection is pressed against the inner surface of the parison, the buffer plate can be fixed at a point other than the pinch-off section. Thus, the strength can be improved against repeated load due to the fuel movement.
