Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable high concn. O3 to be generated without lowering ozonization efficiency by setting a NOx absorber between a raw gas supply part and an ozonized gas discharge part in generation of O3 between a dielectric placed between electrodes and each of the electrodes.
CONSTITUTION: In closed loop system 21 between raw gas inlet 8 and ozonized gas outlet 9, fan 22, cooler 23 and NOx absorber 24 are connected in series. Raw gas passed through regulation valve 27 and branched part 25 is ozonized by corona discharge in space 5, drawn with fan 22 through branched part 26, cooled 23, and passed through absorber 24 to absorption-remove NOx contained. The ozonized gas is then introduced into space 5 again through part 25 and circulated through system 21. By repeating the processes NOx are absorption-removed. Supply of raw gas and discharge of NOx-free ozonized gas are carried out by regulating the internal press. of the ozonizing part and the vol. of raw gas supplied with regulation valves 27, 28, respectively.
