Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a novel coating composition which can be cured at a remarkably decreased baking temperature, by adding a diaza-bicycloundecene organic acid salt and an alkyltin mercaptide derivative as catalysts to a one-package urethane coating composition.
CONSTITUTION: A urethane coating composition composed of (A) a one-package urethane coating obtained by dissolving (a) a stabilized polyisocyanate compound of formula I, etc. and (b) a synthetic resin having active hydrogen atoms in the molecule, such as polyester, in (c) an organic solvent such as m-cresol, and (B) a catalyst mixture consisting of (d) an orgainc acid salt of 1,8-diaza-bicyclo(5.4.0)- undecene-7, and (e) an alkyltin mercaptide derivative of formula II (n is 1, 2 or 3). The amounts of the (d) and (e) components are 0.1W3.0% each, based on the resin component.
