Abstract

PURPOSE:To modify the function setting of a system by changing operation states of a peripheral equipment according to the state of a binary signal applied to its control input terminal. CONSTITUTION:Together with two-way data bus 110, memory 120, initial setting circuit 190, etc., microcomputer CPU100 performs the operation control of an engine such as ignition control. Operation state data 210a-210n of respective engine parts, i.e. peripheral units are inputted to memory 120 by way of multiplexer 210 and AD converter 220, and engine rotation angle data is also inputted through detector 300. In this case, input data from peripheral units are selected by latch 200 controlled by output data of I/O decoder 140 and that of CPU100. On the basis of those data, CPU100 performs fixed engine control.
