Abstract

PURPOSE:To integrate numerous nozzles with one another at a high density, shorten the distance between pressurizing chambers and the nozzles and reduce pressure losses, by placing a plurality of ink ejection ports in a straight line and arranging a plurality of electrostrictive vibrators in a prescribed state. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle plate 2 is provided with ink ejection ports 2ai, which communicate with pressurizing chambers 1di (i=1-n), respectively. The pressurizing chambers 1di are partitioned from one another by bimorph electrostrictive vibrators 4ai coupled to the main body 1 of a head. The electrodes (61, 61a) of the electrostrictive vibrators 4ai are insulated from ink in the pressurizing chambers and connected to divided electrodes 8ai on a printed circuit board 8 through lead wires 7i. Electroconductive pins 8bi are implanted in the divided electrodes 8ai. An ink ejecting voltage is applied to the pins 8bi through connectors.
