Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an ink jet head, in which multiple nozzles are densely arranged, by providing two small-sized electrostriction vibrators, which are opposite to each other, to each ink passage from the ink cell to the ink jet orifice. CONSTITUTION:Two electrostriction vibrators 4ai, 4bi (i=1-n) are installed on the upper and the lower sides of the ink passage 1di, which leads from the ink cell 1a to the ink jet orifice 2i, so that the two are opposite to each other, both the vibrators are excited at the same time to perform the ink injection by the sum of both pressures. Also, as another method, two vibrators are shifted to each other along the ink passage, the excitation of one 4ai is delayed by td from that of the other 4bi to apply a high pressure to the ink near the ink jet orifice 2i concentrically, and the ink injection can be performed.
