Abstract

PURPOSE: To deodorize malodor exhausted gas in a foundry effectively by providing three absorbing portions using a absorbing solution of dilute sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide and alkali.
CONSTITUTION: An absorbing portion 13 containing a filler material 14 is formed within a first absorbing tower 11 and a porous rectifying plate is provided at a lower portion of the filler material and a spray 16 and a demister 16 are arranged at an upper portion of the filler material. A second absorbing tower 12 is divided into a second absorbing portion 19 and a third absorbing portion by a partition plate 18 and a filler material 22, 23, a rectifying plate 24, 25, a spray 26, 27 and a demister 28 are arranged in the same way as the first absorbing portion. The exhausted gas is introduced into the first tower 11 from an introducing port 33 and passed the second tower 12 through a duct 31, thereafter released into the atmosphere from a discharging port 33. To a spray of each absorbing portion, an absorbing solution is supplied from a chemicals solution tank 34, 35, 36 containing dilute sulfuric acid, hydrogen peroxide and sodium hydroxide respectively.
