Abstract

PURPOSE: To stably control void length between a ferromagnetic material and an electromagnet by simple constitution, by comparing the output signals of a displacement meter and the signals of a void length set instrument, intergrating the output of a search coil and feeding the value back to the signals.
CONSTITUTION: A search coil 9 for detecting the change of a line of magnetic force of a core 2a is mounted to an electromagnet 2 oppositely arranged to a ferromagnetic material 1 while void length between the ferromagnetic material 1 and the electromagnet 2 is detected by means of a displacement meter 4. The signals of the displacement meter 4 and the signals of a void length set instrument 5 are compared, and supplied to an adder 11 through a series compensating circuit 6. Meanwhile, the signals of the search coil 9 through an integrator 12 and the signals of the displacement meter 4 through a differentiator 13 are fed to adders 11, 14, and the output is power-amplified to control an exciting coil 2b of the electromagnet 2. Thus, void length can be controlled fixedly and stably by simple constitution without using an expensibe accelerometer, etc.
