Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the reliability of the whole or a unit by causing each micro processor MPU to hold functions as a control processor and making it possible that any MPU operates as the control processor by assignement.
CONSTITUTION: In the system where plural MPU 1-i (i=1W3) take partial charge of one processing and execute it, system condition descriptor 2-i is held in each MPU distributively. The descriptor is provided with its own current system name information table 3-i, current control processor table 4-i, precedence table 5-i and system control table 6-i. Now, if #1 MPU is the control processor and becomes faulty, fault monitor unit RACA7-1 detects it and reports it to other RACA. Other MPU inspect tables respectively to determine a MPU, which succeeds to the control processor function, and a MPU, which succeeds to the processing of the faulty MPU on a basis of precedence of the processing, and execute processings. Thus, the reliability of the whole of the unit can be improved.
