Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a generator from occurrent of abnormal voltage, by making it possible to weaken magnetizing force of a field coil according to the generator's voltage when the generator voltage exceeded a fixed voltage.
CONSTITUTION: When a load circuit of a generator 1 is normal, the generator's voltage is below a prescribed value and as a voltage detector 5 does not operate, a switching circuit 6 is in OFF position, and a part of output voltage of the generator 1 is impressed only on No. 1 field coil 3. When the load of the generator 1 was opened and the generator voltage exceeded the prescribed value, the voltage detector 5 starts operating to turn on the switching circuit 6, and a part of output voltage of the generator 1 is impressed on No. 2 field coil 4. As No. 1 field coil 3 and No. 2 field coil 4 are connected so that magnetic field of reverse polarity is generated, the generator voltage is lowered according to magnetizing current of No. 2 field coil 4.
