Abstract
PURPOSE: To make a producing-burning device compact and economically produce and burn emulsion of fuel oil and water, by mixing a part of the fuel oil with a quantity of water proportional to that of the fuel oil for a burner, blending the mixture with the other part of the fuel and burning the blend.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel oil feed pipe 46 extending from a tank 40 to the burner 44 for a furnace 42 is fitted with a pump 48, a valve 50, a static mixer 52 and a control valve 54. An orifice 74 is provided at the discharge side of the pump 48. A fuel oil flow rate signal is applied from a transmitter 72 to a regulator 76 to control the degree of opening of a flow regulating value 78 attached to water feed pipe 56. The pipe 56 is connected to a mixer 58 to mix the water with the oil supplied from the oil feed pipe 46 to the mixer 58 through a branch pipe 70 fitted with a valve 68. The emulsion is conducted from the mixer 58 to a confluence point 66 on the oil feed pipe 46 at the upstream side of the static mixer 52 through a pipe 60 fitted with a pump 62 and a valve 64.
