Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize a packaging in high density and multiple function by arranging a chip holding part on both top and bottom of an insulated substrate and incorporating two IC chips in one circuit block package.
CONSTITUTION: Chip holding parts 13a, 13b are arranged on both top and bottom of an insulated substrate 11 with a terminal leg 12 projecting outside, stepped parts 14a, 14b are provided, and an internal wiring pattern is classified to terminals 15a, 15b and drawn out to the stepped parts 14a, 14b. IC chips 16a, 16b are brazed to the holding parts 13a, 13b, and electrodes 17a, 17b are connected to the internal terminals 15a, 15b with metallic wires 18a, 18b. Next, both top and bottom are sealed with covers 19a, 19b. A packaging can thus be realized in high density and multiple function from such a simple constitution.
