Abstract

PURPOSE: A forming material that is made by press-forming the intermediate layer that is half-cured and nontakcy at room temperature and both surface layers that are uncured and reinforced, thus being used for electric appliances because of its high thickness accuracy, water and solvent resistance, interlaminar adhesion with metal foils or the like.
CONSTITUTION: As the intermediate layer is used a mixture mainly consisting of (A) an unsaturated polyester prepolymer being solid at room temperature, and (B) uncured epoxy resin having 2 or more epoxy group in the molecule and, when necessary, a photopolymerization initiator. The surface layers are made by impregnating a base material not afecting the light transmittance, such as a sheet of paper of less than 300 g/m2 with an unsaturated polyester resin being solid at room temperature and /or an epoxy resin by 30W200 g/m2. The molar ratio of A/B in the intermediate layer is 1/4W4/1. The thickness of sheet of the forming material is preferably less than 5mm in the respect of photocuring and the thickness of impregnation is less than 1mm, preferably less than 0.5mm.
