Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a good-reproducing efficiency magnetic head cheaply by providing a transformer in recording and reproducing magnetic head chip and performing the input and output to the head chip through the transformer above. CONSTITUTION:Cores 1 and 2 are caused to adhere closely to each other, and core gap G and window 2a for winding are provided, thereby forming magnetic head chip 10. Next, transformer core 4 is arranged near chip 10, and single-winding coil 3 common to both cores is provided between the window of transformer core 4 and window 2a of magnetic head chip 10, and further, many-winding (10 or more- winding) secondary coil 5 is provided in transformer core 4, thereby forming a magnetic head. When gap G of the magnetic head above is brought into contact with a magnetic recording medium to reproduce signals, the electromotive force induced by single-winding coil 3 is boosted by transformer 4, and the output is obtained from coil 5. Then, it is desirable that materials of chip 10, transformer 4, etc., are ferromagnetic materials having a good electric insulation property (for example, ferrite).
