Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the efficiency and to reduce the distortion, by shifting the bias point depending on the input signal level. CONSTITUTION:The terminal 29 is biased at a given level in advance. When the input signal is increased, DC signal is caused to the output of the detector 2. DC signal is fed to the base of the transistor 3. The sum of the forward bias voltage of diodes 21 and 22 is equal to the sum of the voltage between the base and emitter of the transistors 3 and 20, and the emitter current of the transistors 3 and 20 is in proportional to the base level of the transisto 3. The current in proportion to the base level of the transistor 3 flows to the resistors 4 and 5. When the forward bias voltage of the diodes 16 and 17 is made equal to the voltage between base and emitter of the transistors 8 and 9, the emitter current is proportional to the level of the terminal 29, and fixed bias is given at small input and optimum bias is given at greater input.
