Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate transmission lines for transmission of channel selection signals and achieve the reduction of insertion losses and miniaturization by providing a semi-transparent mirror which reflects light having passed through an optical lens and changing the reflecting direction of the semi-transparent mirror based on the light signal having transmitted through the semi-transparent mirror. CONSTITUTION:A reflecting mirror 21 consisting of a semi-transparent mirror which is so arranged as to allow transmittance of part of light is disposed on the faces opposite from the light incident faces of self-focusing lenses 20, 22 and part of the light having transmitted through the reflecting mirror 21 is focussed by the lens 22 and is received by a photo detector 23, by which the channel selection in the multiple signals is detected. A motor, etc. are driven by the command of the detected signal to change the angle of the reflecting mirror 21 as desired to so control that the reflected light passes selectively through the specific transmission line. Thereby, the need for transmission lines for channel selection may be eliminated and the insertion losses may be reduced as compared to the case of using the coupler.
