Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain heat-shrinkable synthetic resin tube of large caliber, thick in thickness, of excellent quality and does not occur contraction in longitudinal direction, by softening synthetic resin tube thru heating by inserting the overlapping cylindrical form core into the resin tube and by expanding the resin tube by conical metal jig being inserted from the end part of the overlapping cylindrical form core.
CONSTITUTION: Synthetic resin tube 2 is placed upon the overlapping cylindrical form core 1 being supported by the conical jig, heated air is sent thru the duct 5, and by the heated air blowing out of the exit port 4. Core 1 and the resin tube 2 are heated, while the resin tube 2 is heated and maintained at the temp. between softening point and the pour point of the resin material. Then, caliber of the core 1 is gradually enlarged by pushing two conical metal jigs 3 and 4 toward the axis of the core 1, resulting in the enlarging of the core caliber of the resin tube 2 until it reaches the desired diameter. After cooling, core is removed from being supported by the conical jigs, and the synthetic resin tube of a desired caliber is obtained. Under this constitution, shrinkage of resin tube toward the axial direction is prevented, and especially, the production of the title tube of large caliber and thick in thickness is made possible.
