Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically enable to identify, transmit and decode the required part of document to be transmitted, by detecting specific mark attached to the document to be transmitted and replacing the scanning line unnecessary for the transmission into the video information less in the number of code bit.
CONSTITUTION: Marking is made to a given position of the part to be transmitted for the document screen, and the transmission of the normal code is stopped at the scanning line not necessary for transmission, judging from the scanning signal for this mark. Thus, the control section 11 gates and fetches the first white run with the start signal 12, and when it is detected that this is longer than a given length, the gate 10 is selected from the coder 6 to the special code generator circuit 9, and the video information less in the bit number such as the full white code, the fill code and synchronizing signal are fed to the MODEM 7. The reception picture is not recorded at the reception section and the paper is advanced. Since the transmission time is very short normally at the full white, the time can be reduced with selective transmission.
