Abstract

PURPOSE: To accomplish the adjustment with ease and high reliability without any use of a capacitor for the adjustment of a reference frequency by using compensating pulses.
CONSTITUTION: An adjusting circuit 70 is connected with an electronic watch which is composed of a standard frequency oscillator and a frequency divider 180. The output of this devider 180 is fed as a starting signal of a ring oscillator 50 through a counter 300. Then, the operating member 590 of a data input circuit 60 is operated so designate the output pulse number of the oscillator 50 at a desired value. Then, the pulse number is memorized in a counter 560. The oscillator 50 controlled by this content generates the desired number of pulses, which are fed as the compensating pulses to the divider 180 through an OR gate 170. Thus, it is possible to accomplish the adjustment with ease and high reliability without switching the capacitors or the parameters of the reference frequencies.
