Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve strength and reliability of an earthquake-proof device for a transformer by designing it in such a manner that a pin structure is to cope with horizontal load and bending load and a screw structure is to cope with vertical load.
CONSTITUTION: An earthquake-proof bolt 7, which is make to pass through an installation hardware 4 from the top and securely screwed into an embedded hardware 6, is so designed that the part, which is to be fit into the embedded hardware 6, is partly threaded and the remaining portion is to become a rod portion 12. This rod portion 12 is to be larger in diameter than the screwing (or threaded) portion and fit into the embedded hardware 6 leaving an extremely small gap sufficient for turning to screw the earthquake-proof bolt 7 into the embedded hardware 6. For this reason, the embedded hardware 6 is provided with a vacant hole for enabling the rod portion 12 to be fit in and also with a screw hole for enabling the threaded portion to be screwed in. In this mechanism, concentration coefficient at the load- acting point 8 is to become approximately twice as much as the conventional, and therefore, it is possible to improve the strength with the same diameter as that of the conventional earthquake-proof bolt.
