Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain a measured value with high precision under no influence of thermal contraction of an insulating solution due to variation in ambient temperature, by forming either one of diaphragms of a conventional pressure measuring instrument in a wave shape.
CONSTITUTION: At both sides of external cylinder 22, this pressure measuring instrument is hermetically sealed by discs 27 and 43 with a penetrating hole. On diaphragm pedestal 27, diaphragm 28 is welded and outside of cradle board 43, wave-shaped diaphragm 44 is welded. Insulator 33 is held at a fixed distance depending upon the height of flanges formed on diaphragm pedestal 27 and reference electrode plate 38, and also provided with electrodes 30a and 30B of metal foil. Reference electrode plate 38 is pushed by plate spring 38 from cradle board 43. Measured pressure applied to both the diaphragms operate on the both through the through hole and the insulating liquid filling external cylinder 22. Then, a difference in pressure between the both can be found from variation in capacitor value between pressure measuring diaphragm 28 and electrode 30A and through the operation of wave-shaped diaphragm 44, a measured-value error is never caused by variation in temperature.
