Abstract

PURPOSE: To install a plate at one-shot operation and also at a correct position on the printing shell of a printing machine by arranging a permanent magnet axially on the outer perimeter of a printing shell sleeve.
CONSTITUTION: Permanent magnets 11 are fitted many in the surface axial of a printing shell sleeve 10 with N-pole and S-pole coming alternately thereon, and a spacer of non-magnetic material is embedded between them. An outer perimeter ring 14 of non-magnetic material is provided on the outer perimeter of the spacer and the permanent magnet, and a pin to adsorb and fix a plate 16 at a correct position is projected on the said outer perimeter ring 14. The outer perimeter ring 14 operates the permanent magnet 11 to work its line of magnetic force evenly on the plate 16. The plate 16 thus adheres closely and evenly to a roll 9, and the plate 16 never comes off the roll 9 during printing consequently.
