Abstract

CONSTITUTION:The end section of a rotor coil 2 inserted into a slot in a rotor drum section 1 is held down by a retaining ring 3. A leakage flux correction coil 4 consisting of a high-temperature superconducting material inhibiting the leakage flux of a stator end section is set up onto the internal surface of the retaining ring 3. Accordingly, the magnetic line of force intruding from a side face to a core end section can be reduced, thus suppressing the heating of the end section due to eddy currents.
