Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce a repetitive measurement difference as to a measuring apparatus for the transverse vibration of the internal shaft of a roller bearing by fixing the internal shaft to the taper surface of a mandrel supporting both centers rotatably with adequate interference.
CONSTITUTION: Mandrel 1A has taper surface 7 and rolling wedge 6 consists of several balls 9, holder 10 and holder guide part 11, and holder 10 has several holes 12 holding balls 9 without falling off at identical pitches. Balls 9 increase in outer diameter axially in arithmetic progression. Then, clearance fitting is applied with a gap, between the inner-diameter surface of holder guide part 11 and the external surface of column body 8 of mandrel 1A, reduced as much as possible and relative slanting of holder 10 against mandrel surface 7 is made small. Clearance fitting is also applied between the external-diameter surface of holder guide part 11 and the internal-diameter surface of internal shaft 2 and axial centers are fixed agreeing each other by center adjusting action through the rotaion of wedge 6.
