Abstract

PURPOSE: To aim at reducing the drive current and making a magnet with small size in a device to drive a spool through utilization of magnetic repulsive force by encapsulating a magnetic permeable fluid with good magnetocollectivity in an air gap between yokes.
CONSTITUTION: The pressure fluid P comes into the body 1 through an opening and s pressed forward to an acting member PW when a spool 2 shifts to the right. In order to bleed this fluid, it shall be introduced to (c), (d) by moving the spool 2 to the left, where it will become a back liquid PT. This spool 2 is energized with the aid of a holder 3 and a joint 4 in comlience with Fleming's left-hand rule by placing a coil 5 in a gap formed by yokes 6, 7 at both sides of the magnet 8 and allowing the current to flow through the coil 5. This gap is filled with a magnetic fluid 17 with good magnetic permeability, so that the magnetomotive force of the magnet 8 can be made smaller than that in the case using the air as well as the volume of the magnet 8 can be made small, and further the current for the coil can be reduced.
