Abstract

PURPOSE: To open a valve body at a high speed by placing a spacer and a valve seat holder both made of a nonmagnetic material between a yoke and a valve seat and fastening the holder to the lower end of the yoke.
CONSTITUTION: A valve seat 13 is held by a valve seat holder 14 made of a nonmagnetic material such as brass, and a spacer 12 made of a nonmagnetic material is placed between the lower end of a yoke 8 and the upper end of the holder 14. When a coil 16 is excited, a magnetic circuit is formed to extend through a core 5, the yoke 8 and a plunger 2. Since a magnetic circuit extending through a valve seat 13 is cut by the spacer 12 and the holder, however, no magnetic circuit is formed to extend through the seat 13 and plunger 2. Therefore, no delay is prevented from occurring in valve opening operation due to the residual magnetism between the valve body 1 and seat 13.
