PURPOSE:To enable the usage of various types of drive circuits by connecting the transmission drive circuit to the cable via the diode. CONSTITUTION:The transmission line is kept passive without providing active element on the transmission line 1. The output of the transmission line drive circuits 2 and 3 is coupled to the transmission line 1 via the diodes Ds and Dp in series and parallel connection. When the drive circuits 2 and 3 are driven in high level, the diode Ds is coupled to the cable to keep the cable in high level and in case of low level drive, since the cable is electrically separated, the condictive state from one drive circuit in high level to the drive circuit in low level is avoided to act like circuit protection. The diode Dp is to protect the drive circuit when the cable is at negative potential by such a cause as reflection of signal.
