Abstract
PURPOSE: To generate cracks in the mud, and to efficiently tap the tapping hole in a short time, by mixing the cooling liquid like as water or oil, etc., into air for cooling the drill or the hollow metallic rod, and by spouting the air together with cooling liquid from the tip of the drill or the hollow metallic rod to execute the digging.
CONSTITUTION: In the tapping machine 1, the cooling water feed pipe 8 is connected to the compressed air feed pipe; by this tapping machine 1, the compressed air together with the cooling water are passed through the drill bit 3, and are spouted from the tip of the drill bit 3; hereby, the bit 3 is effectively cooled. Hereupon, the cooling water is being atomized in the compressed air, which is spouted from the bit 3 at a spray form, and rapidly cools the mud being dug; hereby, many cracks are generated in the mud which is then placed under the condition to be easily dug. The amount of supplied cooling water is limited not to exceed the necessary amount. After about 70% of total digging length of the ordinary tapping hole 2 is dug by the bit 3, the bit 3 is replaced with the metallic rod, and the residual 30% is dug by the rotated metallic rod until the mud is pierced; then, the metallic rod is pulled away, and the effluent of the molten iron is started.
