Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain an excellent-quality picture image with S/N improved in a weak electric field from a picture high in definition in intermediate and intense electric fields by separating a video signal, detected by a video detection circuit, into high-frequency and low-frequency parts.
CONSTITUTION: Part of a video signal detected by video detection circuit D is separated by separator circuit G into high-frequency and low-frequency components; the low-frequency component is further extracted by LPFH and led to mixer circuit I, and the high-frequency component is extracted by HPFJ and gain-controlled F before being sent to circuitI. The rest of the video signal is applied to detection circuit E and coresponding to the synchronizing signal level detected here, gain control circuit F extracts a control voltage according to a voltage from the earth to the peak of the synchronizing signal. At more than electric-field intensity where the video signal outputted from circuit D becomes constant, a constant control voltage is extracted and at less than it, that corresponding to the electric-field intensity is extracted.
