Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a plate with higher utility and a long life by composing a pair of synthetic resin grids which hold a conductor between themselves and by coating its both side faces with protective film after filling the grids with active material. CONSTITUTION:A piece of conductor 2 of leas or of lead alloy is sandwiched between a pair of grids made of acid-resisting resin such as polypropylene, contact faces of both the frames are combined by heating to meke up a composite grid 4. After one side of the composite grid is coated with active material protective film 7a by heating, the grid is filled with powder of the active material from the other side, which is also coated with the protective film 7b to obtain the plate. In this way, the utility of active material can be enhanced 40 to 50% and a plate with a long life can be obtained.
