Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize a minor region pattern input system via the facsimile in which the mark is written at part of the input paper to show the position of the minor region pattern and the minor region pattern can be selected accurately via the signal obtained by scanning the input paper.
CONSTITUTION: Marks 15 and 16 showing the lateral position region of minor region pattern 18 are provided to input paper 1 along with mark 17 showing the longitudinal position region. For extraction of pattern 18, the coordinate position of the main scan direction is obtained by the coordinate position when the scan line passing through the scan designation mark 5 or the scan line passing through mark 6 crosses marks 15 and 16. While the coordinate position in the secondary scan direction of pattern 18 can be detected by mark 17. The minor region pattern information thus extracted is then supplied to the computer.
