Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the subject facilities which are economical in cost, little in wear and pressure loss and in which a wet type dust collecting device or an electric dust collecting machine is connected to the outlet port of a double-type dust catcher comprising a gravity sedimentation separating chamber and a centrifugal separating chamber communicating therewith.
CONSTITUTION: A blast furnace from the furnace gas top flows into a gravity sedimentation separating chamber 23 by way of a duct 27, and its flow speed is lowered and is reversed upwardly. Upon this occasion, a greater part of large- diameter particles and a part of small-diameter particles are stored in a hopper 22. Then, the gas enters the circular drum parts 33 of a cyclones 29 in the connecting direction, and descends spirally, dusts coming into collosion with drum walls 34 and deposited being precipitated in hoppers 32. The purified gas leaves the purified gas chambers 34 and is introduced into either of a Venturi scrubber, an electric dust collecting machine, a moving filled bed dust collector or an electrostatic aggregation type moving filled bed dust collector, and further purified. In the one Venturi scrubber is uprequrired in the present facilities as compared with the conventional facilities.
