Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve a clear heat sensitive copy of pictures and writings without a light source of a large output by heating a heat sensitive paper to a predetermined temperature and applying a flash exposure to the same. CONSTITUTION:When a heat sensitive paper (sensitive material) 3 is brought into contact with the glass 4 of a copying machine which has been heated by a heater, it is heated to a predetermined temperature, for example, about 40 deg.C. Electric power is supplied to the light source 6 such as a xenon lamp which carries out flash exposure as well as to the heater 5, thereby enabling a copying at the predetermined temperature. In this instance a material 2 to be copied is put on the heat sensitive paper 3 and pressed from upward with a light intercepting cover 1 with a resilient seat. According to this constitution, the need of a large output light source can be eliminated and besides a clear copy of pictures and writings can be obtained. It should be noted that the machine may be constructed so that the material to be copied moves instead of the light source.
