Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the velocity of flow a small downflow channel of the extent enough to dissolve O2 gas without waste by hermetically closing the top end of the downflow channel and connecting the same to an upflow channel through the closed channel and connecting an O2-contained gas supply pipe to the suction side of the variable displacement pump disposed to the closed channel.
CONSTITUTION: The circulating path consisting of upflow and downflow channels A and B having level differences is formed by double cylindrical tanks 1,2. The supply pipes 4,5 for waste water and active sludge are connected to the channel B whose top end is hermetically closed by a cover 3 and a pump channel C is connected from the channel A to the channel B to let the waste water circulate verticlly. At the same instant of suction and lifting of the wasted water, O2 is supplied to the channel C by the suction action whereof to let O2 be dissolved in the channel B. At the same time , the dissolved gas is bubbled in the channel A to biologically purify the waste water. The treated water from the channel continuously provided to the channel A is taken out into the separating vessel 14 contnuously provided to the channel A, the supernatant thereof is taken out into a discharge pipe 15 and sludge into a pit 16.
