Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve the improvement in working efficiency and the reduction of equipment cost by simultaneously driving at least two pairs of roll pairs to rotate in the same direction.
CONSTITUTION: When a clutch 4 actuates, the revolutions of a motor 7, transmitted to a flywheel 3 via transmission mechanisms 8,9, are transmitted to a lower roll shaft 12 by way of a shaft 2, pinion 6, gear 11', idle gear 11 and gear wheel 15. Roll dies 17, 18 for the 1st, 2nd processes mounted to the shaft 12 and another shaft end are simultaneously driven to revolve in the same direction. The work is pushed and delivered on a conveyor 20 by a pusher 29 and is conveyed up to a stopper 24, from where it is loaded into the die 17. Next, the stopper 24 is retreated and the motor 7 is driven to perform roll forging of the 1st process. Further the work is transferred onto a turnover table 23 by a conveyor 22, where it is turned over and is loaded into the die 18 by a pusher 26, whereby the forging of the 2nd process is accomplished. At this time, the next work is beforehand positioned with a stopper 25 and is loaded into the die 17, so that it undergoes the forging of the 1st process parallel with the 2nd process.
