Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a solar energy collector, wherein drainage passages are included inside of subassembly partition frames that are placed along the pitch of a tiled roof to permit rain water, which will stand on an upper outer wall of a frame body, to flow out to a lower outer wall of the frame body, so that the installation of the solar energy collector requires no special sttachments and it can be installed with out spoiling the fine appearance of the tiled roof.
CONSTITUTION: Inside of frames of each chamber consisting of a frame body 11 and partition frames 18 is housed a solar energy collecting device 3 and an insulator 1, and the solar energy collecting device 3 is fixed on seats 26, 27 formed on the frame body 11 and the partition frames 18 such that a transparent plate 6 and an energy collecting plate 3 are suitably spaced apart to maintain an effective energy collecting efficiency. On an opening defined by the frame body 11 and the partition frames 18 is attached the transparent plate 6 by mounting it to the frame body 11 and the partition frames 18 using fittings 5, 29 with adhesive packings 7 therebetween, the fittings 5, 29 being fixed by screws 8 to seal firmly the space thus formed. Thus a plurality of solar energy collecting devices are connected together to complete the assembly, and drainage pipes 21 are arranged inside of the partition frames 18.
