Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a captioned material having excellent resistance to shock and heat as well as a good workability upon molding by a method wherein a phenolic resin composition containing special fibrous fillers is extruded so that longitudinal directions of fibers and an extruding direction will become parallel each other, subsequently, is molded into a pellet-shape.
CONSTITUTION: A phenol resin composition, containing fibrous fillers of glass fiber or the like having a heat resistive temperature of 150°C or more (preferably, lengths of most of the fibers are 0.3W5cm) by 40W90wt% of a total blended amount preferably, is extruded through a die of an extruder so that longitudinal directions of most of the fibers will become parallel with respect to a longitudinal direction of the extruded body, thereafter, is molded into a pellet-shape.
USE: It is used for commutators for a motorcar or domestic electric appliances as well as electric parts, parts for insulation, parts for a brake and the like for the motorcar.
