Abstract

PURPOSE: To speed up the deposit cancellation job, to simplify it and to save man-power of banking facilities and to make efficient the job, by receiving the deposit certificate and enabling to perform the cancellation with the operation by the customer itself.

CONSTITUTION: The customer inserts the magnetic card such as deposit to the card insertion slit 2, the deposit certificate to be cancelled is inserted to the certificate insertion slit 3 and depress the transaction selection key 5 which designates the transaction of cancellation. The card reader/ writer of the unit reads in the recorded information of the magnetic card, and the cancellation processing section reads in the transaction information such as certificate number, amount of money and expiration date and transmits it to the center. At the center, the processing such as the calculation of the interest and total amount of money and renewal of residual information and returns the information. When the deposit cancellation processor receives it, the print to show cancellation is made on the deposit certificate, and the residual information on the magnetic card is renewed and prints the transaction information by the cancellation on the slip. Further, the magnetic card is returned to the insertion slit 2, and the slip is discharged to the discharge slit 10. The customer uses this magnetic card and can draw required money with the automatic cash payment machine.
