Abstract
PURPOSE: To form the resistance heating element layer composed of a metal thin film layer in a stable state by forming a nonmetallic layer on the outside circumference of the substrate of a heating roller, and metallizing conductive metal directly on the outside circumference of this nonmetallic layer.
CONSTITUTION: Electroless plating solution 72 is contained in a plating cell 71, and the electroless plating cell 72 overflowing from this plating cell 71 is sent to a recontrolling part 73, after which it is sent through a pipeline 74 into a heating cell 76 provided with a heater 75, where it is heated and from which it is again returned into the plating cell 71, whereby it is reused. The main metal components of the electroless plating solution 72 are, for example, nickel, copper, gold, etc. and the core metals 47 having beforehand been formed with a nonmetallic layer 49 on the outside circumference are suspended by a suspension bar 78 by way of suspension fittings 77, and are dipped into the electroless plating solution 72. Thereby, the thin film of metal is formed on the outside circumference of the nonmetallic layer 49, whereby the resistance heating element layer 50 is obtained. In this way, the resistance heating element layer may be formed in a stable state.
