Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to effect especially a finish working for side surfaces stably with a good performance by a constitution wherein a magnetic field generating device is enabled to move vertically and the working is effected by widening a working gap between an electrode and a work by an effect of the magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:A working electrode 1 is supported at a tip end of a shaft 2 being given a servo feeding vertically by a servo device 3. A motor for the device 3 is controlled by a difference between a voltage at a working gap and a standard voltage and the electrode 1 is opposingly maintained to a work 4 with a minute gap. A magnet 7 is moved vertically within a full range in the cylindrical electrode 1 and a magnetic field thereof is affecting uniformly to a whole side surface of a working hole, therefore, a uniform and highly accurate working may be effected by the affections of chip removing effect, electric discharge control effect and the like. In case of a finish working of the side surface, the working gap can be widened by affecting the magnetic field, therefore, the finish working may be effected stably without moving the electrode.
