Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify a unit by reducing optical fibers by multiplexing signals of one-to-n transmission systems via one optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:A photo signal from transmitter 12 of master station 10 in master- station group 9 is input to optical fiber 19 by way of optical filter 15 and half mirror 17, and a photo signal of different wavelength from another master station 11 is similarly input to fiber 19, so that the photo signals from respective master stations will be multiplexed differing in wavelength. Then, the multiplexed photo signals are led to receivers 28-31..., of slave stations 34-37 by way of half mirrors 20 and 21, optical filters 22 and 23, and branching-coupling optical fibers 24-27 on the slave-station side. Thus, the photo signals are multiplexed via one fiber 19 by correcting the expansion of spectra and characteristics of the optical fiber by optical filters 15, 16, 22 and 23.
