Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a product in which a decorative material and a molded part are firmly integrated thus increasing decorative value, as well as to rationalize the production by placing the decorative material in a die and molding a synthetic resin thus finishing loading of the decorative material and molding of resing in a single process. CONSTITUTION:Any pattern, for instance a pattern 2 in which semicircle grooves are equally spaced, is formed in a molding die 1. A decorative material 3 such as cloth, paper, leather, trimming made of a synthetic resin, or a smoothly planed board, is brought into contact with the pattern 2. Then a molten synthetic resin is injected in the die 1, and the molding pressure is applied to the decorative material, thus obtaining a molded product 4 on which the pattern 2 formed in the die 1 is copied. Products made by this method can be casings of those cameras, watches, and jewelry, glove compartments and console boxes for automobiles, etc..
