Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform heating efficiently according to a desired heat pattern, by conveying each material to be heated through plural divided heating zones heated according to heat patterns selected for each material to be heated. CONSTITUTION:Each heat pattern required for each cast billet group M is stored in control means 12a, 12b, 12c installed separately at heating zones I, II, III in a heating furnace 1 so that heating temp. of respective zones I, II, III may be controlled separately. When the conveyance of cast billet groups to each zones I, II, III are tracked, heat patterns stored in the control means 12a-12c are fed to next control means according to the signal and the residual portions of the same heat patterns are continued in the next zones. This method makes it possible to divide optionally the heat pattern for each cast billet group M, here by the material heated to a desired degree is taken out constantly from the furnace 1.
