Abstract

PURPOSE:The stable micro obtainable at high concentrations by dispersing and emulsifying hydrophobic material into the acidic aqueous solution of styrene copolymer and ethylene copolymer of maleic anhydride, adding the precondensate of melamine-formalin, causing the mixture to react through heating thereby forming wall films. CONSTITUTION:Styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer and ethylene-maleic anhydride coplymer are dissolved in an acidic aqueous solution at ratios of 1:0.5 to 1:2 based on weight. Hydrophobic material is dispersed and emulsified in this acidic aqueous solution and the precondensate of malamine-formalin is added into this. The solution is caused to react under acidic condition and heating, whereby wall films are formed. In this method, good capsules may be obtained in the range of about 40 to 95 deg.C and pH 5.0 to 6.0. The capsules have dense films and are superior in water resistance and microbe resistance.
