Abstract

PURPOSE: To continue the operation of the electric dust collector even during non- firing time of the refuse incineration furnace by providing a heat-retaining heater to the electric dust collector and a bypass to an exhaust fan and minimizing the discharge of smoke and soot which becomes air pollution.
CONSTITUTION: In the exhaust gas circuit connecting an electric dust collector 3, exhaust fan 4 and chimney 5 to a refuse incineration furnace 1, a heater 6 is provided to the casing of the electric dust collector 3 and a bypass line 7 to the exhaust fan 4. During non-firing of the furnace 1, current is supplied to the casing heater 6 of the electric dust collector 3 to maintain the temperatures of the inside and out of the casing constant. The exhaust fan 4 is stopped and is changed over to the bypass line 7 and exhausting is performed by making use of the natural ventilating power of the chimney.
